INTO THE WOODS Writing competition - SUmmer 2021
Our recent 'Into the Woods...' writing competition has produced wonderful pieces of creative writing from every child across the school.
Inspired by one of eight story starters provided. the children have been so motivated by the woodland theme and produced outstanding work across a variety of writing genres including stories, poems, newspaper reports, factual accounts, biographies and diaries
The children were encouraged to explore the beautiful woodland that we have around us here in Westdene and Brighton to get their creative juices flowing and take their imaginations on an adventure! It certainly served to inspire, and with the support of their class teachers the entries came in thick and fast.
There were so many fantastic pieces to choose from, judging has been extremely difficult!
Please join us in congratulating the winners listed below and enjoy their writing which we have pleasure in featuring here. All of the winners have received a certificate and prize for their achievements.
